Deep Dive in South Korea: Exploring Field Success and Grower Insights with AnsiP-G® Fresh Produce Preservation

Share:
📰 PRESS RELEASE / FIELD INSPECTION & AGRI-TECH ANNOUNCEMENT
Dateline: South Korea / Taiwan — August 28, 2025

Every year, Lytone Enterprise's Agri-Tech team embarks on an in-depth field visit to South Korea, joining regional distributors to visit local dealers, agricultural cooperatives, farm production groups, ag-supply stores, and commercial apple orchards.

This annual journey allows Lytone to connect directly with growers and observe firsthand how its flagship produce preservation technology, AnsiP-G®, performs across diverse commercial agricultural settings, establishing a benchmark for post-harvest freshness across East Asia.

COMMERCIAL ADOPTION
2,500+ Regions
Adopted across more than 2,500 South Korean agricultural centers by late 2022 for premium apple cold-storage.
CORE TECHNOLOGY
1-MCP Receptor
Bio-active gaseous molecule binds to ethylene receptors, halting senescence and respiration in sealed storage.
STORAGE EXTENSION
Up to 12 Months
Enables cold-stored apples to maintain harvest crispness and plumpness for up to a full year for holiday markets.

Annual Field Tour in Commercial Orchards

Through close collaboration with regional agricultural cooperatives, Lytone's technical team evaluates orchard management, post-harvest handling practices, and cold chain logistics to optimize preservation protocols for commercial apple varieties across South Korea.

South Korea's Top Choice for Apple Freshness Preservation

In South Korea, Chuseok (the autumn Thanksgiving harvest festival) and the Lunar New Year holidays represent prime gift-giving seasons when consumer demand and retail market prices for premium apples reach their annual peak. However, because newly harvested apples only begin entering the market in September, high-quality fruit is often scarce during key promotional windows. Safely extending the storage life of previous harvests to capture peak-season market value is therefore a paramount commercial challenge for Korean growers.

This economic imperative explains why AnsiP-G® achieved widespread adoption across more than 2,500 agricultural regions in South Korea by late 2022. For local fruit growers, AnsiP-G® offers an easy-to-use, highly stable, cost-effective, and safe preservation regime—enabling cold-stored apples to maintain crispness and harvest freshness for up to a full year.

Endorsed by Leading Agronomists and Plant Hospitals

AnsiP-G® has earned strong acclaim from respected Korean agricultural experts. In 2022, Chang Gwang-wook, Representative Director of the Evergreen Plant Hospital in Gimcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, shared:

"AnsiP-G® is a globally proven product. Thanks to its outstanding preservation efficacy, I have used it continuously for years and routinely recommend it to neighboring commercial orchards seeking reliable post-harvest preservation solutions."

— Chang Gwang-wook, Representative Director, Evergreen Plant Hospital (Gimcheon-si)

During each annual field tour, local farmers eagerly share their fresh harvest with Lytone's visiting team. On a recent visit to Geochang County, where favorable climate conditions allowed for an earlier harvest, the team enjoyed freshly sliced honeyed apples hosted by the Gamaksan Apple & Grape Agricultural Association. From regional cooperatives to smallholder orchards, the abundance of vibrant fruit served as an encouraging omen for a prosperous harvest season ahead.

Post-Harvest Apple Preservation 101: The Science Behind AnsiP-G®

While cold refrigeration is standard practice for apple storage post-harvest, cold temperatures alone cannot stop apples from naturally emitting ethylene gas. In sealed cold storage facilities, accumulating ethylene gas acts as an aging signal that accelerates ripening, softening, and decay, severely curtailing commercial storage life.

AnsiP-G® incorporates 1-MCP (1-methylcyclopropene), a bio-active gaseous compound that binds preferentially to ethylene receptors within plant tissues. By blocking ethylene signal transmission, AnsiP-G® effectively inhibits apple ripening and senescence while reducing respiration rates. This dual physiological protection makes AnsiP-G® the premier, trusted choice for commercial growers seeking safe, long-term cold storage of premium apples.
